Aluminium

Silver-white, lightweight, corrosion resistant and worldwide the most commonly found metal; it is also the general term for all aluminium materials.

Only discovered in the 19th century, in most areas of technology and daily life aluminium is the second most important commodity metal after steel.

Application

Because of its advantageous characteristics, today aluminium is used in virtually all areas of technology, e.g. in household appliances, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, motor vehicles, aluminium packaging, etc.
